Whyanbeel is in the heart of two World Heritage Areas:

The Great Barrier Reef as well as the Daintree Rainforest (which is part of the Wet Tropics).

To the west it only takes a 60 minute drive to discover the nearby Tablelands, and if you just continue on driving for another hour you find yourself in a completely different landscape - the Outback.
